Today’s cake was a graduation cake from *hangs head in shame* over a year ago! Thankfully, I’m not that far behind posting all my cakes, but this one somehow got lost in the shuffle.
This cake was for a friend who wanted school colors (red, black & white), without the ubiquitous blobby frosting flowers (why are those always on grocery store graduation cakes?), but she still wanted it to be elegant.
I decided to keep the design simple with a fondant grad hat and piped filigree!
